Bridgestone Launches BATTLAX ADVENTURE A42 motorcycle tire.

Bridgestone Launches BATTLAX ADVENTURE A42 motorcycle tire. Oct 22, 2026, 09:00 ET The new on-road-oriented adventure tire supports safety, peace of mind and comfortable long-distance touring NASHVILLE, Tenn., Oct. 22, 2026 /PRNewswire/ - Bridgestone Corporation (Bridgestone) today announced the launch of BATTLAX ADVENTURE A42, an adventure motorcycle tire that will become available sequentially in countries worldwide starting Jan. 1, 2027[1]. Under the concept of "the answer to the road-going adventurers", the BATTLAX ADVENTURE A42 is designed to deliver an excellent balance of peace of mind, economy and comfort for adventure riders who primarily ride on-road. From city streets to expressways and winding roads, the tire achieves an optimal balance of wet performance and wear life while helping reduce tire noise while riding, supporting comfortable long-distance touring. Improving a Proven Foundation Adventure motorcycles are recognized for their versatility, ranging from urban riding to long-distance travel. In the European market, demand for tires in this category has increased by 45% over the past decade[2]. Bridgestone launched the BATTLAX ADVENTURE A41 in December 2017 to address the primary needs of riders in this growing segment, including strong wet performance during sudden rainfall, improved wear resistance and comfort on long-distance journeys. Building on its predecessor's proven foundation, the BATTLAX ADVENTURE A42 further supports these essential riding needs by delivering improvements in each area: * Enhanced Wet Performance: The BATTLAX A42 reduces tire slip ratio under straight-line acceleration by 14% compared to the previous model[3], contributing to stable riding even in rain. * Extended Wear Life: The new BATTLAX A42 delivers longer wear life than its predecessor at both tire positions, with 18% longer life at the front and 25% longer life at the rear[3]. * Reduced Tire Noise: With a larger contact patch, the new BATTLAX A42 tire is designed to deliver greater riding stability and comfort. In internal testing, it reduced tire noise by 15% compared to the previous model[3]. Engineering and Technological Advancements The new Bridgestone BATTLAX ADVENTURE A42 road adventure tire achieved improved performance over its predecessor thanks to new tread compounds, an adventure-inspired tread pattern, and optimized construction. The upgraded tire construction leverages the core details of the BATTLAX lineup while incorporating new materials and design choices tailored for road-oriented adventure bikes. * Optimized Compound Formula: The front tire compound of the BATTLAX A42 uses a flexible polymer to improve road-surface grip, while the rear compound uses a polymer that enhances wear resistance and mileage. Both compounds include optimized silica and carbon content that achieves a high level of balance between wet performance and tire life. * New Pattern Design: Inheriting the design lineage of the latest BATTLAX lineup[4], the tire features an aggressive yet refined new tread pattern suited to adventure motorcycles. In addition to incorporating Pulse Groove water drainage technology[5], the tire boosts pattern stiffness through a revised groove layout to improve the overall balance of wet performance, wear life and quietness. | 2027 Launch Sizes | / | 2028 Launch Sizes | | Front | 90/90V21M/C (54V) TL | Front | 90/90-21M/C 54V TL UM | | / | 110/80R19M/C 59V TL | / | 100/90-19M/C 57V TL UM | | 120/70R19M/C 60V TL | 120/70ZR17M/C (58W) TL | | / | 120/70ZR19M/C 60W TL | | Rear | 150/70R17M/C 69V TL UM | Rear | 130/80R17M/C 65H TL UM | | / | 150/70ZR18M/C 70W TL | / | 140/80R17M/C 69V TL UM | | 170/60R17M/C 72V TL | 150/70R18M/C 70V TL UM | | / | 160/60ZR17M/C (69W) TL | | 170/60ZR17M/C 72W TL | | UM: When mounting on a tube-type rim, use a tube. | Bridgestone is committed to supporting the development of a safe and enjoyable motorcycling culture, offering peace of mind by advancing a premium strategy centered around the BATTLAX lineup. Bridgestone deploys easytrack at SR Technics Spain MRO hub.

Bridgestone deploys easytrack at SR Technics Spain MRO hub. * By TT News * October 10, 2026 SR Technics operator performing a wheel assembly using the 'easytrack' application. Bridgestone Aircraft Tire (Europe), a Bridgestone Corporation subsidiary, has announced the deployment of its 'easytrack' tyre management system at SR Technics Spain SAU, the tyre and wheel maintenance hub of global maintenance, repair & overhaul (MRO) provider SR Technics. The scalable digital platform is accessible on desktop and mobile devices. Designed for airlines and MROs, 'easytrack' manages inbound and outbound tyre and wheel flows across single- or multi-site operations. It delivers real-time identification, tracking and documentation throughout each asset's lifecycle. The project follows the solution's first airline implementation in 2025, becoming its second customer rollout and first MRO application. MRO providers handle large tyre and wheel volumes for multiple airlines, complicating operations. 'easytrack' simplifies asset management and improves traceability, accuracy, safety and productivity. At SR Technics Spain SAU, it digitalised paper-based processes, cutting processing time by 45 percent, reducing data-entry and identification errors and improving flow management across Palma de Mallorca and Madrid. From left: David Sautois, 'easytrack' Product Manager, Bridgestone Aircraft Tire (Europe) S.A.; Antonio Colella, General Manager, SR Technics Spain SAU; Jean-Philippe Minet, Managing Director, Bridgestone Aircraft Tire (Europe) S.A.; Eugenie Baradzina, Commercial Director, SR Technics Spain SAU. The results stem from a Bridgestone and SR Technics Spain SAU co-creation initiative built on long-standing partnership. 'easytrack' was adapted to support tyre and wheel combinations for the hub's wheel and brake operations. Bridgestone's expansion of airline and MRO solutions aligns with its E8 Commitment, emphasising efficiency and ecology. Antonio Colella, General Manager, SR Technics Spain SAU, said, "The successful implementation of easytrack is a significant achievement for SR Technics Spain SAU and our teams in Mallorca and Madrid. From the very beginning, the collaboration with Bridgestone was built on trust, openness and a shared vision for innovation. Together, we have developed a solution that not only improves efficiency and traceability but also creates lasting value for our operations. We are proud to be the first MRO in the world to adopt this technology and look forward to continuing this journey with Bridgestone Corporation." Jean-Philippe Minet, Managing Director, Bridgestone Aircraft Tire Europe, said, "I'd like to thank SR Technics for their trust and another fruitful collaboration with Bridgestone. What the teams have jointly achieved is remarkable: co-creating through efficient teamwork and customising the Bridgestone easytrack application to digitise SR Technics tyre and wheel tracking operations. This is a brilliant example of how Bridgestone amplifies the value created at our partners."
