Maintenance Manager
About the job
- A relevant technical degree or a degree in Engineering or Facility Management.
- At least 5 years of experience in maintenance or engineering, including 2–3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Familiarity with mixers, extruders, and cryogenic grinding.
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical and mechanical systems and facility maintenance.
- Proficiency in electrical, plumbing, and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical manuals.
- Strong leadership, communication, project management, decision-making, and team-management skills.
- Ability to collaborate with other departments.
- Oversee the installation, repair, and improvement of production lines, plant equipment, and the building.
- Direct daily plant maintenance activities, including emergency repairs and preventive maintenance.
- Hire, train, supervise, and mentor maintenance staff.
- Ensure maintenance activities comply with health, safety, environmental regulations, OSHA requirements, and building codes.
- Diagnose complex mechanical or electrical malfunctions and coordinate major machine repairs.
- Plan and manage the maintenance budget, including ordering parts, tools, and supplies, and optimize maintenance costs.
- Maintain an organized inventory of critical spare parts.
- Coordinate external contractors and negotiate contracts with external vendors for building maintenance.
- Communicate with production supervisors to schedule equipment repairs.
- Report to the Plant Manager.
