Location: Austin, TX (In-office Tues/Wed/Thurs)
Eligibility: Must be currently enrolled at The University of Texas at Austin
Duration: Summer 2026
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hrs/week
About Togetherwork Togetherwork is building the operating platform for member-based organizations across associations, nonprofits, camps, wellness, and faith-based institutions. As we scale through acquisition, we are redesigning how operations work — using AI and automation as core infrastructure. Our approach is simple: AI handles high-volume, repeatable work so our teams can focus on complex, high-value problems.
Role Overview
We are hiring 3 high-caliber interns from UT Austin to help build and deploy AI and automation across our operations.
This is a hands-on builder role — not research, not shadowing.
You will work directly on:
• AI-powered customer support systems
• Automation of complex software implementations
• Internal tooling across PSA, PMO, and managed services
• LLM integrations (Claude + enterprise systems like Zendesk)
Your work will ship into production and impact real customers.
What You'll Do
• Leverage Togetherwork's existing enterprise AI platforms — Claude Enterprise and ChatGPT Enterprise — to design and deploy practical solutions for operational use cases
• Assist with prompt engineering, custom GPT or Claude project configuration, and AI tool optimization tailored to Operations team needs
• Partner with Operations team members to audit and map current workflows, identifying high-impact opportunities for automation and AI assistance
• Build and test automated workflows that eliminate repetitive manual tasks across operational functions including onboarding, reporting, data entry, vendor management, and internal communications
• Support the evaluation of additional AI tools and platforms that could complement or extend the current enterprise stack
• Help create and maintain documentation for all automation builds, including workflow logic, tool configurations, and process change notes
• Present findings and project updates to Operations stakeholders in clear, accessible language
• Participate in team standups, project planning sessions, and cross-functional working groups
What You’ll Work On
Customer Support (AI Systems)
• Connect Claude to Zendesk to auto-answer tickets and reduce backlog
• Build AI ticket triage & routing, auto-response systems, and sentiment detection workflows
• Develop AI-powered help centers that dynamically surface the right content
Professional Services (Implementation Automation)
• Analyze onboarding workflows (especially complex products like Associations)
• Build AI-driven implementation workflows
• Automate data migrations, configurations, and documentation generation
• Integrate AI into PSA / PMO tools (e.g., Monday.com)
Managed Services (Automation & Intelligence)
• Reduce repeated payroll processing work
• Build automation for billing, tax, donations, and workflows
• Build integration between Claude & Monday.com for billing and workflows
Knowledge & Documentation Systems
• Build AI-powered help centers from documentation and tickets
• Auto-generate help articles and identify documentation gaps
What You’ll Learn & Gain

• Daily use of and training on enterprise-grade AI platforms including Claude Enterprise and ChatGPT Enterprise
• Broad exposure to how AI and automation are being deployed across a 25+ brand software portfolio
• A tangible, results-driven portfolio project you can speak to confidently in future interviews
• Deploying LLMs in production environments
• Integrating AI into enterprise systems (Zendesk, CRM, PM tools)
• Designing automation across a large-scale operations division
• Driving measurable customer outcomes (efficiency, CSAT, cost reduction)

Qualifications
Required
• Currently enrolled at UT Austin as a junior/senior or graduate student in Computer Science (CS), Software Engineering, Data Science/Data Analytics, AI, or relevant field
• Hands-on experience with Claude (Anthropic) including enterprise features such as custom instructions, projects, skills, and knowledge management
• Understanding of prompt engineering best practices and how to apply LLMs to business process improvement
• Familiarity with Python for basic scripting, API integrations, or data manipulation
Preferred
• Student in the Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence Concentration program of study
• Familiarity with Zendesk or PM tools
• Experience using the Anthropic Claude API or OpenAI API for custom integrations or workflow automation
• Exposure to workflow automation platforms such as Zapier, Make, or Power Automate
• Familiarity with REST APIs, webhooks, or data pipeline concepts
• Experience with no-code/low-code platforms
