Requirements
  • Must hold and maintain current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) issued by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
  • Must participate in the company’s background check process.
  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be willing to obtain CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Must be willing to obtain a tuberculosis (TB) test annually.
  • Must be able to get down on the floor and stand up repeatedly, lift up to 50 pounds, and run or move quickly when required for client interaction and safety.
  • Must have strong attention to detail and be able to perform repetitive tasks precisely.
  • Must be able to follow and carry out detailed instructions.
  • Must understand technology well enough to record data on a mobile device and navigate digital applications.
  • Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must demonstrate cultural competency and remain flexible and open-minded.
Responsibilities
  • Provide direct client care in one-to-one and group settings using intensive teaching and natural environment training.
  • Follow behavioral skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols in each client’s individualized treatment plan developed by a BCBA or BC.
  • Collect, record, and summarize data on observable client behavior.
  • Assist with parent and caregiver training in line with each client’s individualized treatment and behavior reduction protocols.
  • Complete documentation on time and according to established procedures.
  • Communicate with parents and caregivers about client progress as instructed by a BCBA or BC.
  • Use safe and appropriate procedures when working with clients, and report critical incidents and safety concerns.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work and therapy environment.
  • Assist a BCBA or BC with preparing client materials, behavior reduction assessments, and skills acquisition.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience working as a behavioral technician, working with children with autism or other learning disabilities, teacher’s aide, tutor, CNA, caregiver, or home health aide.
