Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent is required.
  • One year of related work experience is required.
  • Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Background Check, Pennsylvania Child Abuse History clearance, and Federal Bureau of Investigation Criminal Background Check must be successfully completed.
  • Candidates must be available for part-time, PRN third-shift work, including weekends, from 8:30 p.m. to 8:30 a.m.
Responsibilities
  • Be accountable for all overnight sleep research recordings and monitor and track research studies to ensure quality control.
  • Perform polysomnography (PSG) and dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DXA) scans and participate in collecting actigraphy, Holter electrocardiogram monitor, and other research participant data.
  • Maintain sleep laboratory supplies and recording equipment to ensure that they remain in working order for research studies.
  • Collect and analyze biological samples, including saliva, urine, and blood.
  • Participate in sleep data management for assigned projects by updating and maintaining databases, resolving problematic data issues, tracking data collection forms and other project materials, and performing verification procedures.
  • Collaborate with project coordinators, statisticians, clinical investigators, clinical personnel, and other data management personnel to plan and implement sleep data management tasks for research projects.
Desired Qualifications
  • Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) certification is strongly preferred.
  • Five years of related work experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of phlebotomy is desired; training is available if needed.
