GHD has an exceptional opportunity for a Talent Leader-Americas. This position is pivotal to our mission of attracting, developing, and retaining top talent across the Americas and enabling our People Teams to achieve better performance, retention, engagement, optimization, and development of talent through the opportunities offered by our standardized learning curriculum and talent management approach. As the Talent Leader-Americas, you will play a critical role in shaping and executing our talent strategy. You will be responsible for implementing innovative talent management practices and fostering a culture of continuous learning and development. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving our talent initiatives forward and ensuring that we attract and retain the best talent in the industry. The Talent Leader-Americas will provide support to Business Leaders, People Leaders and their People teams.
To be successful in this role, you should have a proven track record in talent management, strong leadership skills, and the ability to think strategically. You should be passionate about developing talent, have excellent communication skills, and be able to build strong relationships with key stakeholders. Additionally, experience in a matrix, fast paced and dynamic environment is highly desirable. This position can be based in most GHD offices in the US or Canada.

In this diverse role you will be involved in the following:
- Recommendations: Provide integrated, long-term solutions and strategies for a significant area of responsibility, such as a function.
- Solutions Analysis: Develop innovative solutions by integrating and analyzing complex and diverse information sources.
- Client & Customer Management (Internal): Act as a business partner to key internal customers and manage relationships with them. Likely to involve using support teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Leadership and Direction: Identify and communicate the actions needed to implement the function's strategy and business plan within the business area or department; explain the relationship to the broader organization's mission, vision, and values; motivate people to commit to these tenets and do extraordinary things to achieve local business goals.
- Performance Management: Manage and report on performance within the department or area of responsibility; set appropriate performance objectives for direct reports and hold individuals accountable for achieving them; take appropriate corrective action where necessary to ensure the achievement of annual business objectives.
- Building Capability: Take responsibility for building capabilities on a formal basis within a significant functional area of the business. Build capabilities elsewhere in the organization through mentoring and other informal methods.
- Policy Development and Implementation: Develop functional or operational policies and help develop policy frameworks for area of responsibility or department. Take responsibility for creating underlying procedures and monitoring their implementation.
Education and Experience You Will Bring:
- Master's Degree or equivalent level preferred.
- 10+ years' experience leading talent management and/or learning initiatives within and across global businesses, experience with best practice talent management and learning frameworks
- Preferred Experience:
- Experience in instructional design
- Psychometric Assessment certification
- Project and/or program management experience
- Relevant professional certification.
