Creditors approve Waldorf Production UK restructuring plan despite HMRC opposition.

Creditors approve Waldorf Production UK restructuring plan despite HMRC opposition. March 17, 2026 at 02:03 PM UTC - By FilingReader AI Waldorf Production UK PLC has announced that the restructuring plan for WCNS(I) was approved by the requisite majorities of its key bondholder groups during court meetings held on 17 March 2026. Holders of WPUK super senior bonds voted unanimously in favor, representing $56,256,200 in value. Additionally, the WEF bondholders approved the plan with 98.3 per cent by number and 99.9 per cent by value supporting the proposal, representing $116,198,138. Despite the strong support from bondholders, the restructuring plan was not approved by HMRC, which voted against the proposal. However, the company clarified that the plan remains capable of implementation notwithstanding the lack of approval from the tax authority. This development marks a critical step in the company's efforts to stabilize its financial position. The successful completion of the restructuring remains subject to several conditions, most notably the formal sanctioning of the plan by the court. A sanction hearing is currently anticipated to take place between 5 and 8 May 2026. Waldorf has appointed multiple financial and legal advisers, including Interpath Ltd, White & Case LLP, and Milbank LLP, to manage the process and address inquiries from the various creditor classes involved.
