Responsibilities
  • Provide direct one-stop customer service and support to current and prospective students, parents, staff, faculty, and other constituents regarding registration and records, billing and payment, financial aid, Cane Card, and other student services.
  • Counsel constituents on enrollment options, explain deadlines and financial aid requirements, advise on financial aid review procedures, analyze account balances, discuss refund possibilities, create letters of expense, and direct constituents to online or cashier payment methods.
  • Collaborate with campus offices to follow up on referrals, remove roadblocks, resolve issues, and deliver coordinated customer care.
  • Communicate with students in person and through email, live chat, and phone, and document each interaction in the Canes Central case management system.
  • Greet visitors, assess their needs, check them in for appointments, and refer them to campus resources as needed.
  • Print new and replacement Cane Cards, process replacement-card fees, review and address Cane Card errors, and coordinate with Access Control to resolve access issues.
  • Support call-center operations by handling inbound calls, addressing student inquiries, directing callers to the Submit a Case portal when needed, and assisting with outbound calls, texts, and outreach campaigns.
  • Accept and independently work cases by locating information, researching and analyzing solutions, communicating required actions, providing support and updates, and resolving general inquiries.
  • Host walk-in, in-person, and virtual appointments, and retain cases for further research and follow-up when required.
  • Serve on at least one Canes Central committee focused on communication and outreach, ongoing training, one-stop best practices, or related operational improvements.
  • Receive, review, and process documents such as Drop/Add forms, transcript requests, biographic-demographic forms, Social Security updates, readmission forms, and financial documents.
  • Address concerns according to established standards and report improvement opportunities or trends to Canes Central leadership.
  • Escalate complex processing and compliance issues to designated specialists in the University Registrar, Student Accounts, and Financial Assistance and Employment offices.
