BILINGUAL CARRIER COMPLIANCE & ENROLLMENT SPECIALIST
Diakon Logistics provides home delivery of big and bulky products such as furniture and large appliances, using 26' box trucks and two-person teams for delivery, installation, assembly, and set-up. Our network is built on Independent Contract Carriers (ICCs), and we're investing heavily in AI and automation to run compliance and carrier engagement better than anyone in last-mile.
In this role, you’ll report to the Director of Risk Management and Compliance. You'll be the bilingual bridge between our ICCs and Diakon's risk and compliance team. You'll own ICC enrollment support, keep carrier qualification and compliance files current, engage Spanish-speaking carriers daily, help oversee the AI agents and internal tech that back compliance, and light ICC recruiting.
Important Note: Roughly 75% of this job is communicating in Spanish – by phone, text, and email, every day. Spanish fluency is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Walk ICCs through enrollment packets – authority, insurance, agreements, and required qualification documentation – so they start correctly, not just fast
- Daily carrier engagement (75% in Spanish): answering questions, resolving missing items, and persistent, professional follow-up with independent business owners
- Maintain carrier qualification and compliance files (authority, insurance, agreements, and client-required documentation) on our compliance platform
- Oversee AI agents and internal tech supporting compliance, enrollment, and recruiting handoffs – review outputs, catch and correct bad ones
- Light recruiting support alongside Contractor Relations when needed
- Escalate risk and compliance gaps early to the Director of Risk Management and Compliance
Required Skills & Experience
- Fluent Spanish and English, spoken and written - expect roughly 75% of your daily communication to be in Spanish
- Willingness to travel occasionally
- Flexibility with schedule
- Document-heavy background: compliance, enrollment, carrier relations, insurance documentation, operations admin, or similar
- Strong computer skills and genuine interest in AI and automation – you'll be reviewing and correcting AI agent output daily
- Persistent, professional communication style with independent business owners
- Accuracy over speed when compliance is on the line
Bonus Experience
- Owner-operator, last-mile, 3PL, or brokerage experience
- Familiarity with COIs, W-9s, carrier packets, and FMCSA/DOT basics
- Prior recruiting or contractor-sourcing support experience
Why You’ll Want This Role
This position sits directly alongside Diakon's AI and automation build-out. You won't just process documents – you'll help shape how a growing last-mile network uses AI agents to run compliance and carrier engagement, with a clear path to grow as that function grows.
Salary: $55,000 - $60,000/year, DOE; plus, benefits and potential for bonus
