  • The ability to sit for extended periods and work effectively at a computer and/or on a phone for several hours at a time is required.
  • Adequate mobility to attend on- and off-campus events, the ability to lift and carry common office items, and the ability to perform repetitive wrist, hand, and finger movements are required.
  • Regular attendance is required.
Responsibilities
  • Proactively contact and respond to inquiries from potential online students to discuss their educational goals and provide information about attending the university.
  • Recruit, onboard, and support students from inquiry through enrollment.
  • Coordinate with Student Financial Services, Admissions, and Academic Affairs to provide a streamlined student process.
  • Interact with a high volume of potential students through telephone, text, email, and video conferencing, using conversation guides to build relationships and guide students toward enrollment decisions.
  • Discover students' educational interests and use applicable databases and other resources to provide personalized program offerings.
  • Identify and address obstacles to students' educational goals to support a positive and seamless student experience.
  • Respond to new inquiries within two minutes or less and move students through the enrollment funnel within 48 hours.
  • Advise prospective and current students about enrollment, transferability and applicability of previously earned college credits, degree options and requirements, cost of attendance, and university policies and procedures.
  • Make admissions recommendations based on holistic reviews of academic profiles and extracurricular qualifications.
  • Represent university admissions at school visits, community events, college fairs, and other recruitment initiatives.
  • Meet recruitment goals and follow departmental student-outreach policies.
  • Comply with federal, state, institutional, and accreditation policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate applicant and admitted-student records and data.
  • Follow university policies regarding travel and procurement.
  • Support the university mission and serve as an ambassador of the culture of service excellence.
  • Model, support, and hold others accountable to the university's values.
  • Serve as a student concierge by listening to student needs, providing solutions, and connecting students with appropriate departments.
  • Evaluate program effectiveness, assess outcomes, develop improved programming, identify process improvements, and share student feedback with relevant departments.
  • Communicate and track correspondence with current and prospective students in the appropriate application.
  • Collaborate with university departments and academic schools to provide student service.
  • Assist other recruitment divisions with departmental needs and goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • At least two years of experience in sales or recruitment is preferred.
  • Experience in post-secondary education recruitment is preferred.
  • A Master's degree is preferred.
  • Customer-service orientation and excellent attention to detail are preferred.
  • Experience using a Virtual Private Network and Customer Relationship Management system is preferred.
  • Evening and weekend availability may be required.
  • Overnight travel may be required.
