About the job
- Maintain current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Associate in Delaware, or be able to obtain it.
- Hold national certification through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, American Nurses Credentialing Center, or National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
- Have DEA registration and prescriptive authority.
- Demonstrate strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Have experience managing insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitoring systems.
- Be familiar with endocrine-specific electronic medical record templates and workflows.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, physical exams, and diagnostic evaluations.
- Manage chronic endocrine conditions, including medication management, lifestyle counseling, and follow-up care.
- Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging studies, and other diagnostic procedures.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the supervising endocrinologist.
- Provide patient education on disease management, medication adherence, and preventive care.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
- Support continuity of care through coordination with primary care and specialty providers.
- Have 1–2 years of clinical experience in endocrinology or internal medicine.
