Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or at least six years of hands-on operations or facilities work experience in lieu of the degree; data center experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of mechanical or electrical engineering principles and systems; knowledge of both is a plus.
- Experience and knowledge of critical systems documentation, including plans, procedures, and operations manuals.
- Experience and knowledge of Building and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems and Operations.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with PLC-based control systems and/or Building Management Systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and technical writing skills in English.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and utilize hand tools and power tools as needed.
- Physical dexterity to work in tight quarters; ability to lift up to 35 pounds unassisted.
- Comfort working at heights up to 100 feet with appropriate safety gear, in extreme outdoor environments, and in environments with fumes, odors, and noise.
- Availability for flexible shifts providing 24x7 coverage as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Willingness to travel as needed, up to 10%.
- Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities
- Independently operate and maintain critical electrical systems in supercomputing data centers through hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and process optimization to ensure reliability and performance.
- Perform advanced maintenance and troubleshoot critical data center systems, including power and environmental controls, while mentoring junior technicians.
- Oversee maintenance and optimization of critical data center infrastructure, including power, cooling, and environmental systems, while leading a team of technicians to ensure operational reliability and efficiency.
- Ensure MEP infrastructure site safety and environmental compliance with local and regional health and safety requirements.
- Provide operational expertise for facility MEP systems and equipment, including pumps, piping, chillers, cooling towers, CRAH units, wiring, lighting systems, generators, motors, water supply, UPS, and switchgear.
- Routinely inspect all areas to ensure performance measures are maintained and proactively self-report facility problems.
- Write and execute MOPs, SOPs, and EOPs.
- Perform daily inspections of critical systems.
- Identify and maintain spare parts inventory to minimize downtime.
- Coordinate and supervise scheduled system shutdowns.
- Develop and implement energy monitoring metrics.
- Support commissioning by witnessing equipment startup, assisting with functional testing, and monitoring construction progress.
