Requirements
  • A graduate qualification or diploma as an Anaesthesia Technician from a recognized university.
Responsibilities
  • Set up the operating theater with the necessary instruments, equipment, and supplies before surgeries.
  • Ensure that all surgical instruments and equipment are sterilized and in optimal working condition.
  • Assist in positioning and draping patients for surgery while following strict aseptic techniques.
  • Provide direct support to surgeons and nurses during cardiac procedures by passing instruments, sponges, and sutures.
  • Monitor and manage surgical equipment during operations to ensure smooth and efficient procedures.
  • Maintain a sterile environment in the operating theater throughout the surgery.
  • Assist in cleaning and disinfecting the operating theater after each surgery.
  • Sterilize instruments and prepare them for the next procedure.
  • Document and report equipment malfunctions or issues to the appropriate department.
  • Work closely with the surgical team, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety and effective teamwork.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely availability of required supplies and equipment.
