Early Interventionist/Infant Development Specialist - Home Visits
About the job
- A minimum of one year of experience in early intervention working with children with special needs ages 0 to 3 is required.
- A minimum bachelor's degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, Special Education, or a closely related field, such as a master's degree, is preferred.
- Experience working with children in a home environment is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Reliable transportation to patients' homes is required.
- Candidates must be committed to long-term employment.
- Two years of experience working with children with developmental disabilities is required.
- Candidates must have a bachelor's degree.
- Design learning environments and activities that promote infants' or toddlers' acquisition of skills in cognitive processes, communication, motor skills, self-help skills, and social interaction.
- Plan curricula, including the interaction of personnel, materials, time, and space, to achieve outcomes in Individualized Family Service Plans for infants or toddlers with disabilities.
- Conduct assessments and write detailed developmental reports for children on the caseload.
- Provide families with information, skills, and support to enhance the child's skill development, work directly with infants or toddlers with disabilities to enhance development, and coach parents as the experts on their child.
- Spanish-speaking ability is a plus.
