- At least three years of prior physician assistant experience.
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies.
- Current New York State licensure.
- NCCPA certification.
- Provide leadership and direction to more than 30 physician assistants on the Interventional Cardiology Service.
- Ensure that standard policies and procedures are followed and credentialing guidelines are met.
- Promote a positive, nurturing, and stimulating work environment for staff.
- Conduct performance-related reviews and manage performance metrics.
- Create and maintain the schedule, including managing overtime.
- Recruit and hire staff.
- Train new and existing employees.
- Complete special projects as assigned.
- Prior experience managing physician assistants.
- Five or more years of experience as an inpatient physician assistant in Interventional Cardiology.
- Prior experience developing staff.
