CoreWeave provides cloud computing resources tailored for GPU-accelerated workloads. It offers high-performance, pay-as-you-go access to NVIDIA GPU hardware hosted on bare-metal servers managed by Kubernetes, enabling tasks such as Generative AI, machine learning, LLM inference, VFX rendering, and pixel streaming. Users run GPU-intensive workloads on a fully managed, serverless Kubernetes platform without needing to own or manage the underlying hardware. The company differentiates itself by specializing in GPU workloads, offering a wide range of NVIDIA GPUs, and reducing operational burden through its bare-metal, Kubernetes-based infrastructure. CoreWeave’s goal is to deliver scalable, cost-efficient, high-performance infrastructure for AI, HPC, and digital content creation workloads.

CoreWeave CEO Michael Intrator sold 13,129 shares on 20 August 2026 for approximately $1.2 million, according to an SEC filing. The transaction was a non-discretionary sell-to-cover to meet tax obligations from vesting equity awards, not reflecting his view on company valuation. Following the sale, Intrator retains 1,687,129 shares of Class A Common Stock and 328,207 derivative securities. CoreWeave, a specialised cloud computing platform for GPU and CPU resources, has a market capitalisation of $49 billion with trailing 12-month revenue of $7.6 billion. The company's shares declined 2% over the past year despite strong second-quarter revenue growth of 112% year-over-year to $2.6 billion. However, high infrastructure costs resulted in a Q2 net loss of $626 million.
Hudson River Trading to build next-gen research platform powered by NVIDIA Vera Rubin NVL72 on CoreWeave cloud. Leading quantitative trading firm will leverage CoreWeave's AI cloud platform to accelerate AI-driven trading in its next chapter of growth. Aug 20, 2026 Prev Next 1 of 43,511 CoreWeave, Inc., The Essential Cloud for AI(TM), announced a multi-year agreement with Hudson River Trading (HRT), one of the world's leading quantitative trading firms. Through the partnership, HRT will leverage CoreWeave's purpose-built AI cloud platform - including high-performance AI infrastructure like the NVIDIA Vera Rubin platform with Spectrum-X Ethernet networking - to power the next generation of its AI-driven trading research and model development at scale. HRT has long been at the forefront of applying machine learning, large-scale neural network models, and high-performance computing to quantitative research and trading. As AI becomes increasingly central to quantitative research, access to high-performance, scalable infrastructure is critical to enabling researchers to train more complex models, work with growing volumes of data, and iterate faster. "As we scale our AI and machine learning research, the AI platform we build on matters as much as the models we build," said Kevin Lee, head of Research & Development at HRT. "We chose CoreWeave because they understand what it takes to run AI in demanding production environments, and because we're confident they'll scale alongside us as our ambitions do. Giving our researchers access to the latest AI technology is exactly what lets a research team like ours push further, faster." As HRT's models grow more complex and training data volumes expand, so does its need for a cloud partner that can deliver consistent performance, low-latency data movement, and operational reliability. A firm's underlying platform also shapes what its researchers can accomplish day to day. Access to the latest NVIDIA AI infrastructure, along with a broad suite of tools for experimentation, gives technical teams greater freedom to innovate and push their work further. "Financial services is one of the most demanding proving grounds for AI," said Jon Jones, chief revenue officer at CoreWeave. "HRT is one of the companies setting the standard for what it means to bring AI into production in a performance-critical environment. CoreWeave is built to be the cloud that serious AI workloads run on, and this partnership reflects the trust that the world's most sophisticated organizations are placing in us." HRT will run its AI research and model training workloads on CoreWeave's AI platform, which brings together: * High-performance compute: Clusters of NVIDIA Vera Rubin NVL72 and NVIDIA HGX B200 GPU systems, purpose-built for the density and throughput that large-scale AI model training demands, enable HRT to train and iterate on complex models at a pace that matches the speed of markets. * High-throughput Direct Connect networking: Dedicated, high-bandwidth Spectrum-X Ethernet networking built on next-generation networking design for scale-out and north-south traffic that minimizes latency and ensures reliable, predictable data movement between HRT's on-premises environment and CoreWeave's platform. * A platform built for researchers: Direct-to-expert technical support and a broad range of tools and frameworks that give HRT's research teams the flexibility to experiment quickly and take on more ambitious work. Today's announcement reflects CoreWeave's growing presence among leading financial services institutions and its broader platform strategy to serve organizations running AI at production scale. CoreWeave consistently delivers industry-leading infrastructure performance, demonstrated by record-breaking MLPerf benchmark results, its position as the only AI cloud to earn the top Platinum ranking in both SemiAnalysis ClusterMAX(TM) 1.0 and 2.0, and its #1 ranking for inference speed and price-performance for Moonshot AI's Kimi K2.6 in independent inference benchmarking conducted by Artificial Analysis.
Amazon Web Services grew 37% year-on-year in Q2, its fastest growth in 18 quarters, with operating margins expanding to 39%. However, Amazon's $54.2 billion quarterly capital expenditure pushed its free cash flow to negative $7.6 billion over the trailing 12 months. The company is guiding towards roughly $200 billion in capital expenditure for fiscal year 2026. Meanwhile, NVIDIA posted 85% revenue growth, with Data Centre revenue reaching $75.25 billion, up 92% year-on-year. The company maintained a 75% gross margin and 60.4% operating margin. CoreWeave is positioning itself as a lower-cost alternative to AWS for AI workloads, claiming to offer 40-60% cheaper compute through bare-metal NVIDIA clusters. NVIDIA supplies infrastructure to both AWS and emerging cloud providers like CoreWeave, benefiting regardless of which platform wins market share.
CoreWeave's chief operating officer Sachin Jain sold 13,608 shares worth $1.3 million on 10 August, according to SEC filings. The transaction was conducted to meet tax liabilities from vesting restricted stock units, rather than a discretionary market decision. Despite the sale reducing his direct holdings by 8%, Jain retains significant equity with 148,000 shares and 270,000 derivative securities. The shares were sold at $92.09, during a period when CoreWeave's stock has declined steeply over the prior 12 months. CoreWeave provides specialised cloud computing infrastructure for AI and intensive workloads. The company has a $50 billion market capitalisation and $6.2 billion in trailing twelve-month revenue, though it posted a $1.6 billion net loss over the same period.
CoreWeave has risen 24.6% over the last five trading days, compared to 1.2% for the S&P 500, following its second quarter 2026 results. The AI cloud infrastructure company shows a low correlation of 0.39 to the S&P 500 over 1.4 years, suggesting it moves largely independently of the broader market. CoreWeave reported a revenue backlog of $104.2 billion at the end of Q2 2026, roughly forty times its $2.6 billion quarterly revenue. The company says near-term capacity is sold out through long-term contracts. Contracted power grew to 3.7 gigawatts in the quarter. However, on down days for the S&P 500 over the past year, CoreWeave captured approximately 424% of the market's losses.
