Requirements
  • 8+ years of product management experience, including at least 3 years working on internal platform, infrastructure, or developer-experience products.
  • Deep experience building platforms used by other teams, including knowledge of API design, developer ergonomics, and self-service.
  • Demonstrated experience with AI/ML platforms, agent frameworks, LLM-powered applications, or agentic systems, including practical knowledge of agent runtimes, retrieval-augmented generation, and evaluation.
  • A strong technical foundation sufficient to read architecture diagrams, discuss trade-offs with engineers, and prioritize deeply technical work.
  • Experience defining and shipping developer experiences such as software development kits, command-line interfaces, templates, documentation, and self-service workflows.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives across four or more teams without direct authority.
  • Strong written communication skills for strategy documents, product requirements documents, and executive briefs.
  • Comfort defining roadmaps for capabilities that do not yet exist in a rapidly evolving area.
Responsibilities
  • Own the Agentic Platform strategy and roadmap, defining priorities and measurable success criteria.
  • Define and drive the agent runtime, including multistep orchestration, durable execution, model gateway abstraction, governed tool invocation, and configurable per-agent guardrails.
  • Build the Model Context Protocol connector ecosystem, including identity propagation, idempotency, dry-run or preview mode, and a connector software development kit.
  • Establish the intelligence layer comprising a knowledge graph, context graph, and temporal memory, with unified retrieval across vector, structured, and graph sources and source traceability.
  • Ship the evaluation and quality framework, including offline evaluation with golden datasets, online large-language-model-as-judge scoring, domain-specific judges, and mandatory continuous-integration/continuous-delivery evaluation gates.
  • Design a self-service developer experience with software development kits, command-line interfaces, sandbox environments, agent templates, and documentation.
  • Define the federation and adoption model across platform-built, domain-built, and citizen-developer applications, with governance checkpoints and a promotion pipeline from prototype to production.
  • Partner with Application Engineering, the CIO organization, and domain teams across go-to-market, human resources, Finance, and Product.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with Databricks, Lakehouse architecture, Unity Catalog, MLflow, or Delta Lake.
  • Familiarity with LangGraph, LangChain, or similar agent orchestration frameworks.
  • Familiarity with Model Context Protocol, Agent-to-Agent, or AG-UI protocols.
  • Experience building AI evaluation frameworks, large-language-model-as-judge systems, red-teaming processes, or automated quality scoring.
  • Experience with design systems, component libraries, or frontend platform work.
  • Background in enterprise software-as-a-service platform consolidation or migration.

Databricks provides a unified data and AI platform built around a lakehouse architecture that blends data lakes and data warehouses. It helps organizations ingest, store, manage, and analyze data from various sources, then apply analytics and machine learning at scale. The platform offers automated ETL, secure data sharing, and high-performance analytics, with built-in support for AI workloads and model deployment. Unlike traditional single-purpose data stores, Databricks combines data engineering, data science, and business analytics in one system, aiming to streamline data workflows and make insights readily actionable. Its goal is to enable businesses to manage data more efficiently, accelerate insight generation, and deploy AI and analytics across diverse teams through a subscription-based platform and professional services.

Coatue leads $3B Databricks investment at $134B valuation

Coatue Management is reportedly leading a $3 billion investment in Databricks, according to recent reports. The data analytics company previously raised roughly $5 billion earlier in 2026 at a $134 billion valuation. Databricks sells a lakehouse platform combining data lake and data warehouse capabilities and has expanded into AI software for enterprise applications. The company reported $5.4 billion in revenue run rate in February, up over 65% year on year, which grew to $6.9 billion by June. The earlier financing round included $2 billion in debt capacity intended to fund AI products, acquisitions and employee liquidity. At its current valuation, Databricks exceeds Snowflake's market capitalisation of approximately $83 billion. Management has indicated the company may remain private until market conditions improve.
