Requirements
  • Experience with PHP 5+ and object-oriented PHP, MySQL or SQL databases, and the LAMP stack.
  • Experience with HTML and HTML5.
  • Experience with GNU/Linux.
  • Experience with CSS and webfonts.
  • Experience with JavaScript and the Document Object Model.
  • Experience with Git and software engineering best practices.
  • Ability to address user experience and user interface considerations alongside software engineering and database normalization.
  • Familiarity with A/B testing, analytics, and rapid iteration.
  • Experience with system administration and scaling for a Rackspace-hosted site.
  • Experience developing and maintaining templates, using add-ons, and optimizing for efficient and reliable performance.
  • Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
Responsibilities
  • Code the full version of the website based on designs from the web designer.
  • Maintain and update the current beta website regularly.
  • Manage and supervise the developer team.
  • Create responsive webpages.
  • Implement application programming interfaces as needed.
  • Author technical documentation and high-level design documents.
  • Work closely with product and design teams to define feature specifications.
  • Brainstorm new design ideas and upcoming applications with members of the technical, design, and core teams.

  • Experience with LESS or SASS.
  • Experience with client-side Model-View-Controller frameworks.
  • Experience with ExpressionEngine content management system platform.
  • Experience with cloud computing.
