Requirements
  • A current, full, active, and unrestricted Registered Nurse license is required, with graduation from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited school of professional nursing.
  • Demonstrated experience in healthcare administration, clinic or practice management, or outpatient operations supervision is required.
  • Experience supervising administrative and/or clinical support staff in an ambulatory care or primary care setting is required.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills and the ability to interface effectively with VA staff and Contractor leadership are required.
  • A current, full, active, and unrestricted California Registered Nurse license is required, unless the candidate otherwise meets VA Qualification Standards for the position.
  • The candidate must successfully complete VA credentialing and privileging review and a background investigation cleared through OPM via the VA Security and Investigations Center before starting work.
  • PIV credentialing is required.
  • The candidate must complete required VA mandatory training and maintain current licensure and certification documentation annually.
Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day administrative and operational management of the clinic to ensure services meet Performance Work Statement performance and compliance requirements.
  • Supervise administrative and clinical support staff and coordinate staffing schedules and contingency plans to maintain continuity of care during absences, turnover, or unplanned events.
  • Serve as the Contractor's primary point of contact for the VA Contracting Officer's Representative and VA clinical leadership on day-to-day operational matters.
  • Monitor and report on Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan performance measures and support corrective action planning as needed.
  • Oversee Environment of Care requirements, including safety, security, hazardous materials and waste, emergency preparedness, life safety, medical equipment, infection control, and utility systems.
  • Track and maintain documentation supporting staff licensure, credentialing, privileging, and required VA training.
  • Coordinate clinic supply, equipment, and facilities needs with Contractor and VA or landlord points of contact.
  • Support oversight of administrative workflows, including scheduling accuracy, EHR/CPRS data integrity, and patient access metrics.
  • Communicate the Contractor's staffing plan to the VA when patient panels approach capacity thresholds in accordance with PCMM staffing standards.
Desired Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of VA systems such as CPRS and VISTA and the PACT model of care is preferred.
