Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Own machine learning end to end across applied production work, novel research, and production deployment.
  • Build cut-time models that predict how long each cut takes by alloy, thickness, geometry, and machine.
  • Build nesting scoring and optimization models that improve WAYNE.
  • Build demand intelligence and procurement models that determine what to buy, when to buy it, and at what price.
  • Build natural language processing and large language model features for sales order parsing, request-for-quotation ingestion, and customer communication.
  • Build computer vision and optical character recognition systems for certification package automation and dimensional inspection.
  • Ship features end to end, including the model, application programming interface, user interface, deployment, and monitoring.
  • Own the full machine learning lifecycle, including data collection, labeling, training, evaluation, deployment, monitoring, and retraining.
  • Build the data infrastructure and feature pipelines that future machine learning work depends on.
  • Partner with the software team to embed machine learning into NOX NEST, WAYNE, and Gondor.
  • Work directly with operators, schedulers, and buyers to collect relevant training data and understand operational workflows.
  • Identify improvements across systems and implement them.
  • Follow safety requirements and hold teammates to the same standard.
