Requirements
  • Be a member in good standing of the OIIQ.
  • Have a minimum of two years of specific, recent obstetrics experience covering prepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care.
  • Hold a valid driver's license and have access to an automobile.
Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive care to patients during the prepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum phases.
  • Monitor labor progress and fetal well-being, and assist the medical team during deliveries.
  • Provide immediate postnatal care to the mother and newborn.
  • Promote breastfeeding and guide parents in the initial care of their infant.
  • Respond promptly to obstetric or neonatal emergencies using sound clinical judgment.
Desired Qualifications
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification.
  • AMPRO (multidisciplinary approach to obstetric risk prevention) certification.
