  • A Bachelor's degree, five years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • At least five years of customer service, program management, or management experience is required.
  • Experience with a material requirements planning or enterprise resource planning system is required.
  • Understanding of machine shop operations is required.
  • An aviation background is required.
  • Ability to manage without authority is required.
  • A hands-on approach to supporting customer activities and stepping in when needed is required.
  • Planning, organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Knowledge of the AS9102 quality standard is required.
  • Experience interfacing with various levels of staff and management in a fast-paced environment is required.
  • Working knowledge of general office machines, including fax machines, copiers, printers, and scanners, is required.
  • Written and verbal communication skills with the public, employees, and vendors are required.
  • A sense of urgency and dedication to supporting customer requirements are required.
  • Willingness to work overtime occasionally is required.
Responsibilities
  • Schedule and maintain documentation of Program Manager training as needed.
  • Report Program Manager training status and areas of concern to the Director of Programs.
  • Provide Program Managers with tools and strategies to increase productivity and performance.
  • Anticipate issues and mitigate them with the team quickly and accurately.
  • Work on new customer projects.
  • Work with the Director of Programs to improve team dynamics.
  • Perform standard program management duties.
  • Communicate with customers about schedule changes, Engineering Change Order requests, requirements, schedules, and customer tracking updates.
  • Track projects, create and manage timelines, and facilitate day-to-day operational aspects of programs using the Expedite Report and customer forecasts.
  • Communicate budget goals and provide accurate information in a timely manner.
  • Maintain professional working relationships with buyers and customers.
  • Monitor and complete Engineering Change Order requirements.
  • Communicate and resolve internal and external issues quickly and accurately, keeping management informed and resolving issues before escalation when possible.
  • Monitor company purchase orders for special-need items, customer-provided tooling, expedite charges, non-recurring engineering fees, and tooling charges.
  • Assist the contract administrator with receiving, validating, and negotiating customer-provided purchase orders, including verification of lead time, pricing, quality codes, and customer-specific requirements.
  • Communicate customer feedback to internal customers regarding priorities, quality, delivery, and Engineering Change Requests.
  • Update and monitor customer delivery schedule status daily using the Expedite Report and communicate problems to the appropriate departments or customers.
  • Prepare data and presentations for internal and external Program Management Reviews and other required meetings.
  • Support Andon walks.
  • Complete bi-weekly system bounces to ensure demand accuracy.
  • Process return material authorizations as required.
  • Review and work obsolete inventory and material as necessary.
  • Monitor customer forecasts and provide recommendations for production flow.
  • Assist with project controls, including budgeting, cost tracking, scheduling, and forecasting.
  • Coordinate with Supply Chain to ensure outside sourcing and processing support delivery schedules.
  • Coordinate return material authorizations and ensure timely resolution.
  • Coordinate communication between internal support groups and customers regarding information requests, quality issues, schedule priorities, delivery performance, engineering revisions, and demand.
  • Ensure internal departments support customer delivery schedules.
  • Provide responses to requests for quotation for spares and expedites as needed.
