Volvo and Waabi kick off customer operations in Texas, starting with Warp(TM).

Volvo and Waabi kick off customer operations in Texas, starting with Warp(TM). Integration of the Volvo VNL Autonomous powered by the Waabi Driver into Warp's network unlocks autonomy for LTL freight segment. Volvo Autonomous Solutions (V.A.S.) and Waabi today announced the start of autonomous operation for Warp in Texas, the first customer operation in the Volvo-Waabi partnership. The Volvo VNL Autonomous powered by the Waabi Driver is now transporting freight directly to third-party facilities along the Dallas-Houston corridor. These operations will enable Warp, an open-source freight network that provides less-than-truckload (LTL) and full-truckload (FTL) freight services for carriers and shippers, to transport its customers' goods autonomously along the corridor. The start of customer operations between V.A.S. and Waabi marks a milestone in the two companies' partnership. Integrating V.A.S.' autonomous transport ecosystem Autona / freight into Warp's freight network creates opportunities to optimize freight flows and support more efficient movement of goods as demand grows. Autona / freight brings together the Volvo VNL Autonomous, Waabi's autonomous driving technology, fleet and transport management, terminals and customer endpoints, operations, and uptime support to deliver a complete transport solution designed to scale. The Volvo VNL Autonomous is built from the ground up for autonomy with redundancies for six safety-critical systems and specifically designed to integrate autonomous driving systems from partners such as Waabi. Currently autonomous hauls are run with an observer in the driver's seat. "Together with Warp and Waabi, we are bringing autonomous freight into customer operations in one of logistics' most demanding segments. This shows how quickly our ecosystem can adapt to new customers and more complex operations. What we learn on the Dallas-Houston corridor will help us strengthen our partnership and continuously improve the ecosystem as we scale," said Nils Jaeger, President of Volvo Autonomous Solutions. "Waabi and Volvo Autonomous Solutions are building toward a future where autonomous trucks integrate seamlessly into the networks that move freight every day," said Lior Ron, COO of Waabi. "Our work with Warp is the first milestone on that path, demonstrating that the Volvo VNL Autonomous, powered by the Waabi Driver, can take on the full range of real-world freight, from operating within less-than-truckload networks to moving goods directly to third-party facilities, meeting customers where they are. We're incredibly excited about what's ahead as we continue building that future together with Volvo." With customer operations underway, V.A.S. and Waabi will use real-world experience from the Dallas-Houston lane to prepare for additional routes and support the broader scaling of autonomous freight in the coming years. Unlocking autonomy for one of freight's most operationally complex segments LTL shipping requires dynamic networks to consolidate, haul, and distribute goods from multiple customers on tightly coordinated schedules. By moving freight directly between facilities, without handoffs, the Volvo VNL Autonomous powered by the Waabi Driver gives LTL providers like Warp a more predictable way to keep their networks on schedule. "Working with Volvo Autonomous Solutions and Waabi demonstrates what Warp's network was built for: bringing advanced technology into the everyday movement of freight," said Daniel Sokolovsky, CEO of Warp. "The value of autonomy grows when you can coordinate the freight around it. Warp brings together shipments from multiple customers and aligns routes, capacity, and timing, so advances on a single lane can benefit the broader network." Waabi: 80% growth on long haul's toughest corridor.

Waabi: 80% growth on long haul's toughest corridor. * September 18, 2026 Waabi's commercial freight operations between Dallas and Houston are scaling rapidly, with load volumes growing more than 80% in 2026 alone as more customers put autonomous trucks powered by the Waabi Driver to work on one of the country's most important logistics corridors. In June, the Waabi Driver became the first AV system to generalize zero-shot to a new platform: the Volvo VNL Autonomous. Just like a human driver can apply what they already know when getting behind the wheel of a new vehicle, the Waabi Driver was able to safely operate a new and significantly different truck - with different sensors, a different shape, and completely different vehicle dynamics - with zero retraining. That same momentum is now visible in Waabi's commercial operations, as Waabi Driver-powered trucks move more loads, serve more major customers, and become a growing part of day-to-day freight networks. Putting autonomous freight to work on a critical corridor The decision to accelerate operations along the Dallas-Houston corridor reflects both growing customer demand as well as Waabi's focus on deploying autonomous capacity in the places where it can deliver the greatest value to carriers and shippers. Interstate 45 (I-45) is the backbone of the Texas Triangle, connecting two of the country's largest economic and logistics hubs across roughly 240 miles. Over 9,000 freight trucks travel between Houston and Dallas every day, a number expected to more than double by 2050. It is also one of the most challenging environments in which to move freight. The corridor faces severe congestion, with five I-45 interchanges ranking among the nation's 100 worst truck bottlenecks, including three in the top 25. I-45 has also been ranked among the most dangerous highways in the country. For carriers and shippers, these conditions translate directly into pressure on safety, service, and cost. Autonomous trucks, which deliver consistent superhuman performance around the clock, can help solve these challenges by improving safety on dangerous roads, supporting reliable and on-time service, and optimizing fuel consumption through smooth driving. The result is a supply chain that is safer, more reliable, and more resilient. Supporting a Fortune 50 retailer when stakes are high For one Fortune 50 retail customer, the Waabi Driver has completed nearly 200 trips in 2026 with zero safety incidents and 100% on-time pickup and delivery. These results are particularly important given the stakes for this retailer. Shipments on this route are high-frequency, high-volume, and unforgiving. A missed delivery window can quickly translate into empty shelves. Waabi's autonomous freight operations deliver the reliability needed, enabling a more resilient and efficient distribution network capable of meeting the demands of modern supply chains. Growing Waabi's commercial footprint in Texas Over the coming months, Waabi's operations on the Dallas-Houston corridor will continue to expand rapidly in response to massive growth in customer demand, bringing the benefits of this technology to even more freight moving between Dallas and Houston. Drive I-45, you'll probably see Raptor Group on the road, driving autonomously, delivering loads directly to its customers' facilities. The Waabi Driver's performance on the Dallas-Houston corridor demonstrates what autonomous freight can deliver where it matters most. Raptor Group is ready to bring those benefits to more routes, more loads, and more customers.
