Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent is required.
  • At least 5 years of professional engineering experience is required.
  • Proficiency in computer modeling software, including AutoCAD Civil 3D, HydroCAD, and Storm Sewers, is required.
Responsibilities
  • Create civil engineering site development designs.
  • Develop permitting and construction plans.
  • Prepare municipal zoning and land development applications for private and public sector clients.
  • Design site layouts, site grading, erosion and sedimentation controls, stormwater management facilities, and site utilities.
  • Interact with clients, contractors, and local government officials throughout conceptual and design phases, regulatory review, bidding, construction, and project opening.
  • Work with Project Managers and Principals in the civil/site practice to plan and execute projects, communicate with clients, develop new client opportunities, and grow professionally.
  • Coordinate with geotechnical engineering, environmental, ecological, and other practices to address project-specific needs.
  • Mentor junior staff on technical items.
  • Attend industry organization and client meetings.
Desired Qualifications
  • A Master's degree is preferred.
  • An Engineering in Training designation or Professional Engineer license is preferred.
  • The ability and desire to mentor junior staff is preferred.
