  • Comfort helping engineers use artificial intelligence-assisted development tools effectively and responsibly.
Responsibilities
  • Lead, support, and grow a team of engineers through clear expectations, regular feedback, coaching, and career development.
  • Own the team's execution and outcomes, from planning and prioritization through delivery, production operation, and continuous improvement, with accountability for tactical results over the coming quarters.
  • Translate broader cloud platform strategy and organizational priorities into operational plans, team objectives, and a pragmatic roadmap.
  • Allocate people and resources to meet schedules and goals while managing capacity, dependencies, and changing priorities.
  • Execute workforce, capacity, and operating-cost planning in partnership with engineering leadership.
  • Establish clear ownership and operating practices for platform services, including service application programming interfaces, Kubernetes controllers and operators, deployment automation, configuration, upgrades, and lifecycle management.
  • Guide technical decisions and architectural tradeoffs, working closely with senior individual contributors and ensuring designs align with the established cloud platform direction.
  • Drive reliability through service-level agreements, service-level objectives, key performance indicators, observability, operational readiness, incident response, post-incident learning, and reduction of recurring operational work.
  • Balance product delivery with investments in platform consistency, security, scalability, technical debt, and developer productivity.
  • Build strong partnerships across product engineering, site reliability engineering, security, infrastructure, and other platform teams.
  • Engage customers and external stakeholders where appropriate, presenting results and recommendations across technical disciplines.
  • Identify dependencies and risks early, communicate them clearly, and align teams on decisions and delivery plans.
  • Improve engineering practices for system design, testing, continuous integration and continuous delivery, release automation, production debugging, and data-informed decision-making.
  • Hire and onboard engineers while building an inclusive, collaborative, and accountable team culture.
  • Use delivery, quality, reliability, and team-health signals to improve how the team works.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience managing a platform, infrastructure, site reliability engineering, or developer productivity team.
  • Experience building internal platforms, control planes, Kubernetes operators, or shared developer infrastructure.
  • Experience supporting enterprise software across cloud, hybrid, or on-premise environments.
  • Experience with distributed databases, data infrastructure, data movement, streaming systems, or integration platforms.
  • Experience with Terraform, Argo CD, GitHub Actions, or similar infrastructure and delivery tooling.
  • Experience establishing service-level objectives, leading incident response, and improving operational maturity.
  • Experience partnering with product teams to turn recurring infrastructure needs into reusable platform capabilities.
  • Experience growing senior engineers and developing technical and team leadership within an organization.

About the company

Redis is an in-memory data store used as a database, cache, and message broker. It supports data structures such as strings, hashes, lists, sets, sorted sets, and streams, enabling fast data access for real-time applications. Data is kept primarily in memory for sub-millisecond latency and high throughput, with options for on-disk persistence. Features include replication, Lua scripting, eviction policies, transactions, and multiple persistence modes, along with high availability via Redis Sentinel and scalable partitioning with Redis Cluster. This combination lets Redis power use cases like caching, session management, real-time analytics, and message queuing. Compared with other data stores, Redis stands out for its in-memory performance, rich built-in data structures, scripting support, and mature HA and sharding capabilities. The goal is to provide a fast, flexible, and reliable data store that can function as a database, cache, or message broker for real-time workloads.

Redis hits $300M ARR, named to Fast Company's 2026 most innovative companies list for powering agentic AI

Redis has been named to Fast Company's 2026 list of the World's Most Innovative Companies for defining the context and memory layer powering agentic AI systems. The company was recognised amongst 720 honorees across 59 sectors and regions. Redis provides a real-time context engine that combines streaming data, vector search, operational data and agent memory in a single platform. This enables AI agents to retrieve relevant information across structured and unstructured data whilst maintaining accuracy and speed. The platform addresses common AI deployment challenges including slow large language models, hallucinated outputs and tech stacks not designed for high-throughput, low-latency AI workloads. The San Francisco-based company surpassed $300 million in annual recurring revenue in January, reflecting growing demand for memory and context infrastructure for AI systems.
