Requirements
  • A current Registered Behavior Technician certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board, or willingness to obtain the certification within 30 days of hire.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Successful completion of a background check and any other required screenings.
  • The physical capability to walk, occasionally run, stand, sit, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, twist, reach above the head, pull, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.
Responsibilities
  • Follow behavior intervention plans designed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts to support children with autism in reaching their individual goals.
  • Provide one-on-one applied behavior analysis therapy to children, focusing on skills acquisition, behavior reduction, and communication development.
  • Accurately record data during therapy sessions to track progress and assist in evaluating treatment plans.
  • Implement behavior management techniques and strategies to address challenging behaviors and promote positive behavior change.
  • Collaborate with Board Certified Behavior Analysts, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and other team members to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
  • Train parents and caregivers in applied behavior analysis techniques to facilitate generalization of skills learned during therapy sessions.
  • Maintain detailed and organized session notes, progress reports, and other necessary documentation.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of children during therapy sessions by following safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Maintain current knowledge of best practices in applied behavior analysis therapy through ongoing training and professional development.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinic environment, including daily cleaning tasks, weekly assigned chores, sanitizing materials, and resetting treatment spaces for subsequent sessions.

  • A bachelor's degree in education, psychology, or a related field.
  • Previous experience working with children with autism or developmental disabilities.
