Requirements
  • Required qualification of LICSW, LCSW, LMFT, LMHC, Licensed Psychologist, master's-level clinician, or psychiatric nurse (RN).
  • Effective communication and organizational skills are required.
  • Proficient computer skills and the ability to complete documentation electronically are required.
  • The employee must be vaccinated against influenza as a condition of employment.
Responsibilities
  • Provide behavioral health crisis consultation services and all related service delivery requirements for youth, adult, and geriatric populations in a hospital-based setting.
  • Provide assessment, treatment interventions, and crisis counseling.
  • Manage the acute phase of clients presenting in behavioral health crisis; assess, triage, and refer clients to appropriate services.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with hospital-based staff and other providers, including insurance companies, CBHC, MCI, CCS, PHP, and outpatient providers, to effectively serve clients in crisis.
  • Use supervision effectively by sharing pertinent information, accepting performance feedback, incorporating feedback into the work plan, recalibrating the approach, making improvements, and seeking guidance for difficult cases.
  • Maintain current working knowledge of and use related internal and external resources, policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and compliance requirements necessary to serve clients with quality care in multiple settings and changing program needs.
  • Answer telephone calls as needed and provide timely, appropriate assessments and determine next steps in support of clients with behavioral health needs.
  • Understand and abide by emergency department performance specifications.
  • Meet productivity standards defined by estimated service delivery.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience and training in emergency psychiatric services working with adults, youth, and their families, including training in de-escalation strategies and the emergency services system of care.

Beth Israel Lahey Health rolls out Heidi's AI scribing to all physicians after 90% report better patient presence

Beth Israel Lahey Health is rolling out Heidi's ambient AI scribing tool to all its physicians following a successful trial across its facilities. The health system, which serves over 6,000 providers across 14 hospitals and 175 primary care practices, prioritises addressing physician burnout, with nearly half of US physicians reporting burnout. During a six-month trial offering Heidi to 1,000 providers, the majority adopted the technology. Survey results showed 89% were satisfied with note quality, 90% felt more present with patients, 74% reduced after-hours work time, and 82% experienced reduced cognitive load during visits. The implementation demonstrates how ambient AI can deliver immediate relief to physicians whilst benefiting patients and the healthcare system. Heidi supports over 2 million consultations weekly globally and has raised $96.6 million from investors including Point72 Private Investments and Blackbird.
