Beyon Connect and TapTap Send announce completion of integration with the enhanced electronic key (eKey 2.0) system

Beyon Connect and TapTap Send announce completion of integration with the enhanced electronic key (eKey 2.0) system Thursday, October 08, 2026 Beyon Connect, a Beyon company, announced that TapTap Send, the international platform specialized in money transfers that recently began operations in the Kingdom of Bahrain, has joined the enhanced electronic key (eKey 2.0) system, after successfully completing the integration process, thereby enhancing the platform's digital verification and electronic Know Your Customer (eKYC) procedures. The eKey 2.0 is a platform for digital verification of national identity in the Kingdom of Bahrain, developed by Beyon Connect in partnership with the Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA), enabling institutions to benefit from digital authentication and verification capabilities within their electronic services and procedures. The agreement signing ceremony was held during the Bahrain FinTech Future Forum 2026, and the partnership agreement was signed by Mr. Richard Buddle, CEO of Beyon Connect, and Mr. Abdul Latif Waked, CEO of TapTap Send in the Middle East. TapTap Send is an international money transfer platform that allows customers to send money internationally through its mobile phone application. The platform serves millions of customers around the world, contributing to transfers to more than 70 destinations in Africa, Asia, Latin America, and the Caribbean. The company is also licensed as a Bahraini joint stock company by the Central Bank of Bahrain as a payment services provider. As part of its efforts to enhance its customers' digital experience in the Kingdom of Bahrain, TapTap Send sought to strengthen integration with the enhanced electronic key (eKey 2.0) system within registration and identity verification procedures, enabling its customers to use the enhanced electronic key to securely authenticate and verify their identity as part of the registration and onboarding process on the platform. This integration provides a secure and easy experience for authentication and completing electronic Know Your Customer (eKYC) procedures, which in turn helps facilitate registration procedures and reduces reliance on manual entry of identity document data and waiting to receive verification codes. On this occasion, Mr. Richard Buddle, CEO of Beyon Connect, said: "TapTap Send's adoption of the enhanced electronic key "eKey 2.0" confirms the role played by the digital identity verification infrastructure in the Kingdom of Bahrain in supporting international fintech companies operating in the Kingdom. By providing reliable digital authentication capabilities, as well as supporting electronic Know Your Customer (eKYC) procedures, the enhanced electronic key "eKey 2.0" enables companies to benefit from this system within their services, helping facilitate registration procedures and ensure a more secure experience for their customers. We are pleased to support TapTap Send in its journey to enhance its position and develop its services in the Kingdom." For his part, Mr. Abdul Latif Waked, CEO of TapTap Send in the Middle East, said: "Facilitating the use of the TapTap Send platform is an important part of the experience we seek to provide in the Kingdom of Bahrain. By joining the enhanced electronic key "eKey 2.0" system, customers can securely verify their identity, making it easier for them to start using the platform and access our international money transfer services with ease. We are also pleased, through this cooperation, to benefit from Beyon Connect's expertise and local knowledge in the field of digital authentication." This cooperation reflects the private sector's orientation in the Kingdom of Bahrain toward benefiting from the enhanced electronic key "eKey 2.0" system and the capabilities of digital national identity verification, including the electronic Know Your Customer (eKYC) service within institutions' digital services and procedures, to provide secure and seamless digital experiences for their customers, and contributes to enhancing the interconnectedness of the digital ecosystem in the Kingdom of Bahrain. GoTyme Bank launches raffle to fly overseas Filipinos home for the holidays.

GoTyme Bank launches raffle to fly overseas Filipinos home for the holidays. September 16, 2026 In partnership with Cebu Pacific and TapTap Send, GoTyme Bank is giving customers the chance to win round-trip flights and cash prizes by sending or receiving international remittances through the GoTyme Bank app. VIA GRAPHIC PLUS - For millions of Filipinos, sending money home is more than a financial transaction - it is a love language that keeps families connected across oceans. GoTyme Bank today officially launched its "It's Tyme to Be Together" campaign, an initiative designed to make those connections stronger by offering overseas Filipinos and their loved ones a chance to reunite in person for the holidays. Flying families home for the holidays To celebrate its comprehensive inward and outward international remittance services, GoTyme Bank is hosting a special homecoming raffle to fly winners back to the Philippines. Through this raffle, GoTyme Bank is making the everyday act of sending and receiving money across borders even more meaningful. Five grand prize winners will receive round-trip economy flights for themselves and a companion, along with additional prizes designed to make their homecoming even more special. Strategic partnerships with Cebu Pacific and TapTap Send The promo is made possible through strategic partnerships with Cebu Pacific, the campaign's official airline partner, and TapTap Send, a leading global remittance provider. Together, the brands are working to deliver a complete, seamless homecoming journey for Filipinos worldwide. "Banking should do more than just move money - it should bring people closer to the things and the people that matter most," said Nate Clarke, president and CEO of GoTyme Bank. "For Filipinos abroad, every remittance carries hard work, sacrifice, and love. Through our secure and transparent remittance services, and with the support of our partners at Cebu Pacific and TapTap Send, we are thrilled to offer our customers not just a better way to send money, but a real opportunity to come home and hold their loved ones close this season." "Home is where Filipinos want to be during the holidays, and at Cebu Pacific, we are proud to play a part in bringing them there," said Michelle Eve De Guzman, Marketing Director of Cebu Pacific. "Whether they are coming from Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, Taiwan, UAE, or Saudi Arabia, we are committed to flying more Filipinos closer to their families and loved ones. Through our partnership with GoTyme Bank, we hope to make more homecomings possible and remind every Juan that no matter how far they go, there is always a flight that can bring them home." A simpler way to send, receive, and use international funds GoTyme Bank makes it easier for customers to send and receive money internationally, with both services available through the GoTyme Bank app. Customers sending money abroad can initiate transfers through the app anytime, with the fees, exchange rate, estimated arrival time, and expected amount the recipient will receive shown upfront before they confirm the transaction, giving them greater visibility and control. Through GoTyme Bank's Send Money Abroad service, customers can send money to more than 200 countries and territories in eight currencies: AUD, CNY, EUR, GBP, JPY, KRW, SGD, and USD. For Filipinos receiving money from abroad, funds can be sent directly to their GoTyme Bank account through an international bank via SWIFT, supported remittance partners such as TapTap Send, or participating Visa partners. GoTyme Bank's SWIFT transfers are powered by Wise. There is no need to visit a branch or pick up cash. Once received, funds can be saved, spent, used to pay bills, or transferred, all through the same GoTyme Bank account. This gives customers a more convenient way to manage money across borders, from sending and receiving funds to using them, all within one account. Raffle mechanics and timeline The "It's Tyme to Be Together" raffle promo runs from September 16 to November 30, 2026. GoTyme Bank customers must opt-in and then will automatically earn one raffle entry for every qualifying international remittance of at least P5,000 sent or received directly through the GoTyme Bank app. By offering transparent fees, competitive rates, and a complete suite of financial services in a single app, GoTyme Bank continues to eliminate the hassle of traditional branch visits for remittance senders and receivers alike. Zero-fee GCash remittances open for OFWs in Bahrain.

Zero-fee GCash remittances open for OFWs in Bahrain. Published Aug 29, 2026 06:38 am Digital money transfer provider Taptap Send and GCash, the Philippines' largest mobile wallet operator, have expanded their cross-border remittance network to Bahrain, targeting the growing market of overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) seeking lower transfer costs. In a statement, GCash said the partnership allows Filipinos in the Middle Eastern nation to send funds directly into recipient GCash accounts in the Philippines. Under a temporary promotional agreement, the companies are offering zero transfer fees on transactions originating from Bahrain, though standard foreign exchange conversion margins still apply. Beyond Bahrain, the companies plan to extend the integrated service to major migrant worker destinations including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, Australia, and 27 European nations. "Our partnership with GCash allows us to make it even easier for overseas Filipinos to send money home through a trusted digital platform," said Faye Sta. Ana-Corpuz, head of Philippines growth and Southeast Asia expansion at Taptap Send. She added that competitive foreign exchange rates and zero transaction fees across supported corridors aim to help workers maximize their transfers home. The company also seeks to divert money flows away from informal, unaccredited remittance channels toward licensed electronic networks, which offer regulators and users clearer transaction logs and security. "By working with trusted international partners like Taptap Send, we are expanding access to safe, convenient, and reliable ways for Filipinos abroad to send money home while strengthening their connection to the Philippines," said Carlos Bauza, vice president for international payments at GCash International. To execute a transfer, senders download the Taptap Send application, select the Philippines as the receiving destination, choose GCash as the settlement method, and input the recipient's mobile phone number registered under either Philippine country code +63 or Bahrain country code +973. Once verified, the digital funds clear instantly into the recipient's GCash wallet balance. % buffered Powered by GliaStudios
