Requirements
  • An Associate's Degree in Finance or Accounting or at least 3 years of experience in detailed finance work.
  • Strong math skills.
  • Ability to relay financial data to managers and clients.
  • Ability to deal with difficult, sensitive, and confidential issues.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Understanding of billing software and basic accounting concepts.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and prioritizing abilities.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare invoices for legal services to clients.
  • Answer client inquiries on billings.
  • Process and post client payments and prepare deposits and reports as requested.
  • Process and document over-payments and write-offs.
  • Process workflow opening matters and set up billing profiles.
  • Assist in setting up client billing records and opening clients and matters.
  • Process billing rate changes.
  • Process departing attorney financial information.
  • Provide customer service internally to attorneys and other employees.
  • Complete ad hoc projects as requested.
  • Perform general and other office duties as requested.
Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Rippe & Kingston, also known as SurePoint billing software.
  • Previous experience with law firm billing.
