Mainframe Developer

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, and IMS DB.
• Provide production support and resolve critical incidents in a timely manner.
• Perform impact analysis, code changes, and testing for system enhancements.
• Work with Endevor for version control, code migration, and deployment.
• Track, manage, and update tasks using JIRA in an agile environment.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and QA teams to understand requirements.
• Support and optimize lending-related business processes and applications.
• Ensure application stability, performance, and compliance with development standards.

Domain / Functional Skills

• Strong functional understanding of Loan and Lending processes across the application lifecycle
• knowledge of the end-to-end lending lifecycle, including:
  • Loan Origination – application capture, validation, and approval workflows
  • Loan Servicing – account maintenance, updates, and customer management
  • Payment Processing – handling collections, postings, and reconciliation
  • Interest & Charges – calculation, accruals, and fee management
  • Repayment Schedules – EMI setup, amortization, and schedule tracking
  • Settlement / Closure – foreclosure, early settlement, and account closure processes
  • Customer & Account Management – agreement-level and account-level processing

Mainframe Developer with 8+ years of hands-on experience in mainframe technologies.  Strong expertise in COBOL, JCL, and IMS DB, along with experience in application development, maintenance, and production support. The role requires familiarity with Endevor for code management and JIRA for agile delivery and issue tracking.
