Requirements
  • An Associate’s Degree in a related field, or three years of experience in lieu of the minimum education.
  • At least one year of experience in hospital or medical group payroll, or experience as a payroll coordinator or similar role.
  • Intermediate Excel knowledge, including comfort processing timesheets and payroll adjustments.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • Fire Life Safety Training from Los Angeles City is required for positions within Los Angeles City; if no card is held at hire, it must be obtained within 30 days and renewed before expiration.
Responsibilities
  • Assist clinical providers, accounting, and Human Resources with researching and resolving payment issues and ensuring accurate and timely payments.
  • Review payroll invoice information for accuracy and ensure all relevant documentation is in order.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly compensation invoices for independent contractors in accordance with contractual terms.
  • Produce reports for management review.
  • Analyze payroll information and investigate pay variances and discrepancies.
  • Maintain internal controls, documentation, and reconciliation procedures to support audit readiness and compliance.
  • Prepare performance metrics and conduct payment trend analyses to assess the reasonableness of compensation amounts and identify potential outliers.
  • Maintain the confidentiality and security of salary, staff, and legal information.
  • Maintain established health system and regulatory requirements and records.
  • Perform other payroll-related duties and assist with other assigned projects.
Desired Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
  • Understanding of contractual compensation agreements.
