Requirements
  • At least one year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist working in the assigned area, such as CT, MRI, emergency, portable, or surgery.
  • Current Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) certification issued by the California Department of Public Health.
  • Current CRT Fluoroscopy Permit issued by the California Department of Public Health.
  • Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification.
  • Current Venipuncture Certification issued by the California Society of Radiologic Technologists.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider certification issued by the American Heart Association.
  • Knowledge of computers, anatomy, physiology, radiographic equipment, safety hazards common to Radiology equipment used, body mechanics, isolation procedures, and body fluid precautions.
  • Ability to take on-call assignments for patients requiring emergency procedures.
  • Flexibility of hours.
Responsibilities
  • Produce radiographs/scans for medical diagnosis under limited supervision and as assigned by the Area Coordinator.
  • Position patients and adjust equipment for proper exposure and film development.
  • Record pertinent information pertaining to the production of the radiograph/scan.
  • Assist in the supervision of Radiology students.
  • Maintain the assigned work area in a neat and orderly condition.
  • Use computers.
