Responsibilities
  • Manage and own Materials’ seasonal development calendar
  • Lead innovations in process creation and execution
  • Support other team members in the execution of seasonal deliverables
  • Recognize and evaluate risk factors associated with material developments
  • Lead the team to continually create and build a knowledge base
  • Stay informed about vendor capabilities and performance
  • Anticipate downstream effects of decisions
  • Lead and collaborate with product teams in the development of materials specifications
  • Contribute to research of emerging materials trends
  • Lead, own, and manage projects with new technology/manufacturing techniques
  • Mentor material development and other Footwear teammates
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with T2 partners
  • Serve as the materials subject matter expert for project teams
  • Oversee coordination and review with Asia materials testing team
  • Develop and maintain an organized materials library
  • Build advanced materials expertise
  • Lead, recommend, and specify material options to meet pricing targets
  • Initiate and lead meetings with product teams
  • Collaborate with Research, Design, Development, Marketing, Costing, and Color
  • Organize and communicate new processes and techniques
  • Assist with advanced materials R&D projects
  • Lead trips to suppliers
