  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Safety Engineering, or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in manufacturing equipment development and/or commissioning support role
  • Experience in automotive manufacturing is preferred
  • Demonstrated familiarity with OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM), EPA Risk Management Program (RMP), and respective hazard analysis methodologies
  • Excellent communication skills
Responsibilities
  • Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Scout’s Process Safety Management (PSM) program
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and enforce safety protocols for equipment and machinery
  • Support risk studies including PHA, HazOp, HAZID, and other risk assessment methods
  • Partner with Production and Engineering teams on process and equipment design for manufacturing
  • Oversee change management on safety systems of existing equipment, processes, and facilities
  • Maintain detailed records of equipment safety assessments, inspections, and corrective actions
  • Support and lead root cause analysis activities related to incident investigation and learning teams
  • Develop and deliver training programs for employees on process safety management
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of EHS Management System elements
  • Ensure compliance with industry safety standards and regulations
  • Prepare and submit regular reports on safety performance and improvement initiatives
  • Other duties as assigned by the Manager, EHS
