A Board of County Commissioners elected from three districts oversees county administration, public property, purchasing, and financial decisions alongside other elected county offices. County budgets and spending go through public review, with contracts approved by a majority of commissioners. Organized at Oklahoma statehood in 1907, the county government is headquartered in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
