Requirements
  • 15+ years of technical, enterprise and SMB software product management and operational experience
  • 5+ years of experience at the Vice President level at companies with >$50M ARR and experience in subscription data products and/or analytics solutions
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering and deploying SaaS and data solutions on a global scale while managing the end-to-end product life cycle
  • Leadership experience with product management, product marketing, and design teams in an Agile environment
  • Proven ability to work with customers and market analysts and represent their voices in product strategy and deliverables
  • Ability to build consensus across an Executive Team on all aspects of the end-to-end product lifecycle with alignment to our company vision
  • A proven mix of both technical and business acumen to effectively interact cross-functionally and to support the product roadmap and engagement with our customers
  • Hands-on approach to mentoring teams and establishing a culture of immersive product management
  • Experience working in mid-sized growth companies and the ability to balance strategy with changing business needs
  • Ability to communicate effectively across audiences including being a product evangelist to our customers and a trusted leader in executive briefings and board meetings
  • Strong working understanding of technology and data landscape and ability to identify partners to scale a product roadmap
  • Experience making complex data actionable via a comprehensive product strategy
  • Must be located in Santa Barbara or willing to work from our Santa Barbara HQ on a frequent basis and travel as needed
Responsibilities
  • Maintaining a constant and intimate knowledge of customer needs and competitive pressures and using this knowledge to create timely product deliverables
  • Delivering products that meet or exceed the financial expectations of HG and are delivered on time and within budget
  • Creating the demand for products through ownership of inbound and outbound lead generation channels
  • Measuring, reporting, and being accountable for product success or failure by appropriately defined KPIs
  • Ensuring that all products have comprehensive pricing strategies and robust messaging frameworks and are driven to success by the HG go-to-market teams
  • Overseeing release cycles and milestones of products spanning multiple feature and data insight areas
  • Lead and scale the product management, product design and product marketing functions by creating a highly motivated team to ensure rapid development and market adoption of products
  • Creating the product roadmap and communicating its deliverables to internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure that the sales and customer success organization are fully equipped with the knowledge to sell and support all HG products, including data deliveries
  • Collaborating with the CTO and VP Engineering to allocate engineering resources aligned with product initiatives
  • Partnering with the CTO on quarterly planning sessions to ensure that the product roadmap is rational and deliverable
  • Engaging with Data Solutions, Customer Success, and Sales organizations to bring transparency, communication, and an understanding of the product roadmap, including feature requests and prioritizations
  • Constantly driving the search for innovation and invention in HG's products
  • Participate in speaking engagements on general industry topics and promotion of company products
  • Additional projects and deliverables as required
