Named one of TIME's Best Inventions of 2024, Aescape uses AI and robotics to deliver customisable massage sessions. Users control their experience through a touchscreen interface, personalising pressure, music, targeted muscle groups and recovery goals whilst remaining clothed. Sessions last 30 or 60 minutes, including setup time. Franchise owner Steve Sculler reports overwhelmingly positive responses and high recurring appointment rates. Aescape launched at select Massage Envy locations in November 2025, with additional franchises rolling out the technology throughout 2026. The system is currently available in limited appointment slots at the West Boynton Beach location.

Franchise owner Joey Ball reported high recurring appointment rates since launch, noting positive responses from both guests and massage therapists. Massage Envy franchised locations began rolling out Aescape across select US markets in November 2025, with additional locations planned for 2026. The La Cañada Flintridge location is the first in Southern California to offer the service, which is available in limited appointment slots alongside traditional massage services.

Aescape, a NYC-based lifestyle robotics company, raised $83 million in funding, bringing its total to $128 million. The round was led by Valor Equity Partners with participation from existing investors, including Fifth Wall, Alumni Ventures, and NBA Champion Kevin Love. The funds will be used to scale operations, expand into new markets, and grow partnerships. The company also appointed Eswar Priyadarshan as SVP of Engineering.
