About the job
- A minimum associate's or bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field is required.
- ARRT certification in Radiography is required; CT certification is a plus.
- New York State Department of Health requirements must be met.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Cardiac CT Technologist in a healthcare setting is required.
- Proficiency in cardiac CT imaging procedures and advanced imaging software and techniques is required.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members are required.
- Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy in image acquisition, analysis, and documentation are required.
- BLS certification is required.
- Perform high-quality cardiac CT scans using advanced imaging protocols and techniques to visualize the structure and function of the heart and blood vessels.
- Maintain and operate cardiac CT equipment, ensuring proper functionality and adherence to safety standards.
- Perform routine equipment maintenance and troubleshoot technical issues as needed.
- Accurately analyze and interpret cardiac CT images, identifying abnormalities or anomalies that may require further evaluation or intervention.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive diagnostic assessments.
- Document patient information, imaging protocols, and procedural details accurately and comprehensively.
- Prepare detailed reports of cardiac CT findings for physician review and inclusion in patient medical records.
- CT certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists is a plus.
- Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous professional development in cardiac imaging.
