About the job
- A bachelor's degree or at least 10 years of practical experience in voice and video management.
- At least five years of experience in unified communications, focused on voice and video systems.
- Strong knowledge of VoIP protocols, including SIP, H.323, and MGCP.
- Experience with video conferencing systems, including Cisco TelePresence and Polycom RealPresence.
- Familiarity with unified communications platforms, including Cisco Unified Communications Manager and Microsoft Skype for Business.
- Strong understanding of network architecture and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
- Experience with QoS and QoE management tools, including Cisco QoS and NetIQ.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- CCNP Voice or CCIE Voice certification.
- CCNP Collaboration or CCIE Collaboration certification.
- Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) in Skype for Business.
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) in Routing and Switching.
- Ability to lift 25 pounds.
- Ability to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time.
- Ability to twist, bend, and squat periodically.
- Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI security clearance and be able to obtain a Counter Intelligence Polygraph.
- U.S. citizenship is required for the Top Secret clearance at this location.
- Install, configure, operate, and maintain tactical audiovisual systems, and create or update system package artifacts.
- Support voice over IP systems.
- Support video conferencing systems.
- Support Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS) solutions.
- Support Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) trunking.
- Support voice and video network architecture.
- Manage Quality of Service (QoS) and Quality of Experience (QoE).
- Support security and compliance for unified communications systems.
- At least seven years of experience in a video audio engineering environment management.
- DoD 8570 / 8140 compliance or information assurance certification commensurate with the technical objectives and required services.
- Applicable software or hardware training and certifications commensurate with the technical objectives, required services, and specified IT environment.
- Cloud certification.
