Food Service Aide

Here at Park Place of Elmhurst, we offer a continuum of care with the security of lifecare. Our residents also have access to assisted living, short-term rehabilitation, skilled nursing, and memory support right on campus. We are seeking hardworking professional Part-Time Food Service Aide. Key Responsibilities:  

The primary purpose of your job is to provide assistance in all dietary functions as directed/instructed and in accordance with established dietary policies and procedures.

• Assist in serving meals as necessary and on a timely basis.
• Perform dishwashing/cleaning procedures.
• Keep work areas clean, dry, and free of hazardous equipment, supplies
• Set up meal trays, food carts, and dining room, serve food in dining room as instructed.
• Deliver food carts, trays, to designated areas.
• Prepare and deliver snacks as scheduled.

Requirements

• Medium amount physically demanding work.
• Must pass a physical, drug screen, 50-pound lift test, fingerprint for criminal background and successfully complete a reference check. 
• Must be able to push, pull, move and/or lift a minimum of 50 pounds to a minimum height of 3 feet.
• Must possess Food Handler Certification or Serve Safe Certification or obtain same within 90 days of hire. Certification must remain current throughout employment.
