Minimum Qualifications

5+ years of hands-on experience in the realm of large-scale data processing and/or machine learning infrastructure, showcasing a robust understanding of the complexities associated with such environments.
Familiarity with a diverse set of technologies, including but not limited to Iceberg, S3, Data Governance, Data lakehouse, Kafka, Spark and machine learning ecosystem.
Strong hand-on programming skills, particularly in Java or other JVM languages, showcasing the ability to develop robust, scalable, and maintainable codebases for intricate data and machine learning infrastructure.
A strong sense of ownership and an unwavering commitment to excellence in all aspects of work.
A customer-focused approach, combined with excellent listening skills and a deep understanding of user requirements. Be adept at translating user needs into actionable solutions and acting as a subject matter expert in customer discussions.
Exhibit proficiency in scoping and prioritizing tasks with a focus on incremental delivery and an iterative approach, ensuring adaptability to evolving project requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

Former experience in public cloud systems, particularly in AWS or GCP environments, is a great plus.
Knowledge of Kubernetes is a significant plus.
Proactive engagement with open-source community, aligning business objectives with the principles of collaborative development and innovation.
(Nice to have) Experience with GPU / training / LLM / Inferencing

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $175,800 and $312,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
