Requirements
- One to three years of experience in telecommunications, construction, or a related field is preferred.
- Prior field operations experience in underground or aerial construction is preferred.
- A High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Demonstrated ability to learn construction processes, safety standards, and field operations.
- Basic proficiency using smartphones, tablets, and field tracking systems such as Fieldwire.
- A valid driver's license is required.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work outdoors in varying weather.
Responsibilities
- Manage telecommunications and outside plant construction projects from mobilization through completion.
- Supervise daily activities of field crews and subcontractors.
- Oversee subcontractor performance, quality control, and compliance.
- Verify subcontractor documentation, certifications, and work completion.
- Perform white lining and 811 locate visual inspections and verification.
- Review construction drawings and prints and verify scope and field feasibility.
- Monitor daily production and progress and report on materials, quality, and schedule.
- Maintain accurate red-line drawings, as-builts, and project records.
- Prepare daily production reports, bore logs, Job Safety Analyses, incident reports, and closeout documents.
- Update project progress in Fieldwire.
- Enforce Occupational Safety and Health Administration, Department of Transportation, traffic control, and personal protective equipment compliance on all sites.
- Train, mentor, and lead field employees.
Desired Qualifications
- Occupational Safety and Health Administration certification is preferred.
- Telecommunications or construction certifications are a plus.
