Requirements
  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • At least one year of experience is required.
  • Good communication skills are required.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and authorize the entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain the security and safety of the premises.
  • Circulate among visitors, patrons, and employees to preserve order and protect property.
  • Guard, patrol, and monitor industrial or commercial premises to prevent safety hazards, theft, violence, or infractions of rules.
  • Enforce rules, regulations, policies, and procedures, and respond to emergency situations requiring security assistance.
  • Write detailed narrative reports and maintain daily activity reports.
  • Provide courteous and professional assistance to customers, employees, and visitors.
  • Monitor for irregular or unusual activity.
  • Secure the facility and designated areas.
  • Enforce facility and company policies and procedures.
  • Investigate incidents and prepare reports on them.

Spectrum Works recently said it appointed Marjorie Ramos, chief people officer at Bergen Logistics, to its board of directors. Ramos brings extensive experience and passion for promoting inclusivity in the workplace and will help further Spectrum Works’ mission of creating more opportunities for the often-overlooked population of neurodiverse people.Ramos began her collaboration with the Secaucus-based nonprofit in 2021 when Bergen Logistics partnered with it to establish an autism job training program at its North Bergen location. The Bergen Logistics expansion in the UK is set to create up to 60 jobs and Kevin Rogers, managing director for Elanders in the UK, said it will complement the Elanders offering in North Tyneside, which has a combined headcount of around 200 staff.
