- Prior customer service and sales experience are required.
- Strong organizational, planning, and time-management abilities, with high attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong math skills and comfort working with pricing and margin calculations.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams.
- Must be willing to sign the company's standard non-compete agreement.
- Communicate with customers via phone, email, and written correspondence to provide customer service and support.
- Establish and maintain customer relationships to identify current and future sales opportunities.
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding products, pricing, availability, and order status.
- Prepare, review, and maintain accurate quotes, pricing, and configurations in accordance with company policies.
- Document sales orders, quotes, and customer communications accurately.
- Interpret customer requirements and recommend appropriate products or solutions.
- Generate new business through outbound calls, lead follow-up, and proactive sales outreach.
- Close sales opportunities generated through inbound and outbound efforts.
- Submit timely call reports and track sales activities.
- Prepare sales reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sales data.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activity.
- A four-year college degree or equivalent sales experience is preferred.
- Metals industry or aluminum sales experience is a bonus.
