Requirements
  • minimum of 7+ years in Sales Engineering or experience as a Chief Technology Officer deploying observability & security technology
  • strong entrepreneurial ability and desire to make a large impact
  • passionate about educating customers on observability and security risks that are meaningful to their business
  • able to build and execute an evaluation plan with a customer
  • knowledge and understanding of the competitive landscape (Solutions capabilities and offerings)
  • experienced in programming/scripting with any of the following: Java, Python, Ruby, Go, Node.JS, PHP, and .NET etc.
  • extensive background in Enterprise positioning and line of business value selling
  • able to travel via auto, train or air up to 40% of the time
Responsibilities
  • develop and maintain a strong knowledge of Datadog's product offerings, observability trends, common architectures, and provide guidance to prospective customers and internal sales teams
  • contribute to the success of strategic sales opportunities by closely collaborating with the account team to devise and enrich sales strategies, offer industry expertise, and provide mentorship throughout the sales lifecycle
  • contribute to and deliver tailored customer demos, executive briefings and product training sessions as needed, ensuring prospective customers have a comprehensive understanding of our offerings
  • contributes use cases, best practices, trends, and product positioning to Datadog sales strategy
  • contributes to development of strategy for entering new markets
  • works alongside account teams to build relationships with customers (CIO, CTO, Architects, Technical staff, and business representatives) as they begin their observability modernisation with Datadog
  • proactively engage and communicate with customers and Datadog product, sales, and sales engineering teams regarding product feedback and competitive landscape
