Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • Iowa and Kansas State expanded Amplify partnerships in 2026, showing demand persists.
  • Ohio University extended Amplify in May 2025 for ticket sales, fundraising, and premium seating.
  • Learfield reported 3.8 million tickets sold and over $45 million raised, proving operating traction.

What critics are saying

  • TPG’s 2026 takeover puts Amplify inside a leveraged ownership reset and integration risk.
  • Paciolan, Sidearm, and CLC already capture adjacent workflows, limiting Amplify’s standalone leverage.
  • If schools internalize donor sales or switch vendors, Amplify loses recurring partner relationships fast.

What makes Learfield Amplify unique

  • Learfield Amplify bundles ticketing, development, and seating across college athletics.
  • It serves 40-plus partners with 200-plus on-site sales staff nationwide.
  • Its integration with Paciolan gives schools ticket data, digital marketing, and pricing leverage.
