Requirements
  • At least 8 years of hands-on software engineering experience, with demonstrated technical leadership of engineering teams or workstreams.
  • Authorization to work in the United States or Canada without sponsorship.
  • Availability to travel approximately 25% depending on client needs.
  • Experience owning technical execution and architectural direction for engineering teams in complex enterprise environments.
  • Practical experience modernizing large legacy applications through incremental refactoring and event-driven decomposition under real constraints.
  • Full-stack delivery experience spanning frontend, backend, application programming interfaces, data pipelines, and cloud infrastructure, with technical depth in multiple core areas.
  • Experience designing and delivering cloud-native distributed systems at enterprise scale, including microservices, event-driven architectures, application programming interfaces, API gateways, and asynchronous messaging.
  • Practical knowledge of platform engineering, infrastructure as code, cloud platform adoption, Kubernetes, managed container services, and continuous integration and continuous delivery automation.
  • Ability to maintain high engineering standards across a team by evaluating code, identifying edge cases early, enforcing test standards, and driving velocity.
  • Experience building or integrating production artificial intelligence capabilities into real applications, including model integration, retrieval pipelines, observability, and maintenance.
  • Ability to model AI-augmented engineering workflows using modern AI coding tools as a daily multiplier for delivery speed and code quality.
  • Ability to discuss pragmatic AI adoption credibly with client technical leadership and identify production-grade opportunities for intelligent workflows.
Responsibilities
  • Own technical delivery, architecture, and code quality for the workstream by making key technical decisions, documenting tradeoffs, and ensuring coherent, maintainable systems.
  • Write and review production code across the full stack, set the technical bar, review pull requests, and remain involved in direct implementation.
  • Integrate artificial intelligence and large language model capabilities into client applications, including agentic workflows, retrieval-augmented generation pipelines, intelligent automation, and AI-augmented developer tooling.
  • Use advanced AI coding environments, large language model tooling, and agentic assistants for refactoring, code generation, and test writing in client codebases.
  • Enable client engineering teams on AI-first practices through hands-on coaching and pairing with client developers.
  • Break down monolithic legacy applications into cloud-native microservices and event-driven architectures without taking critical systems offline.
  • Anticipate technical debt, delivery friction, and architectural risk, and establish mitigation strategies, test automation standards, and continuous integration and continuous delivery best practices.
  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for the workstream and engage with client engineering managers and technical directors on execution, delivery risk, and technical strategy.
  • Mentor and uplift client and company engineers through pairing on complex problems, architectural reviews, task decomposition, and continuous feedback.
  • Partner with account leadership and architects on technical scoping, statement of work development, proof-of-concept demonstrations, and identifying expansion opportunities.

Liatrio helps large enterprises modernize technology and streamline delivery. Its services span Enterprise Technology Modernization, Platform Engineering, Cloud Native Modernization, Security‑driven Digital Transformation, Engineering Effectiveness, and MLOps/Data Science. It delivers through programs and engagements like DevOps Dojos, Project to Product transformations, Application Modernization, and enabling pipelines, toolchains, Kubernetes adoption, and policy-driven governance. Unlike generic consultancies, Liatrio emphasizes challenging the status quo and building long‑term capabilities inside a customer’s organization, such as automated infrastructure, platform automation, and observability. Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • Liatrio expanded into enterprise AI enablement after its April 15, 2026 announcement.
  • Cursor named Liatrio a first official transformation partner on July 28, 2026.
  • Remote-first hiring remains active in August 2026 across engineering and consulting roles.

What critics are saying

  • Liatrio sells outcomes through CIO and CTO budgets, exposing it to spending freezes.
  • Cursor and SuperOrbital create partner dependence if either platform shifts channel strategy.
  • If enterprise clients internalize AI transformation, Liatrio's consulting economics collapse by 2027.

What makes Liatrio unique

  • Liatrio pairs embedded engineers with consulting, not slide-deck advisory.
  • Its September 2025 SuperOrbital deal adds Kubernetes, Docker, and GitOps training IP.
  • The April 2026 AI-first standard and July 2026 Cursor partnership sharpen platform engineering.
