Requirements
  • At least three years of work experience in a related industry or field.
  • O Level/GCSE-level education is required.
  • French-speaking ability is beneficial.
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing in English.
  • Ability to manage workloads by establishing priorities and handle accounts with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to operate successfully in a fast-paced environment and think critically in ambiguous situations.

Responsibilities
  • Answer customer questions, troubleshoot issues, resolve complaints, and provide guidance about IngramSpark and Lightning Source services.
  • Act as the primary, and often sole, point of contact for customers.
  • Manage customer relationships and coordinate between customers and sales, premedia, operations, and other departments.
  • Increase sales volume by clarifying special offerings and upselling.
  • Handle publisher queries efficiently and accurately by phone, email, and chat.
  • Resolve customer questions and concerns satisfactorily.
  • Manage new and outstanding customer requests, respond to emails, and provide timely updates.
  • Maintain current and accurate knowledge of the full range of Ingram services to advise customers appropriately.
  • Use internal systems and platforms to record and action customer requirements accurately.
  • Liaise with internal teams across the United States, United Kingdom, and Australia to meet customer needs.
  • Support sales growth through effective upselling.
  • Support and answer questions for third-party customer service agents to promote a positive customer experience.
  • Attend recurring virtual customer meetings to provide high-touch service and support.
  • Maintain knowledge of customer-success best practices, including metadata optimization and file-creation compliance.

Cashmere raises $5M to connect premium publishers with generative AI

Cashmere, a data infrastructure platform connecting premium publishers with AI systems, has raised $5 million in seed funding led by Reach Capital. The round included participation from Founders Future, Fortitude Ventures, Lightshed Ventures and strategic investors Ingram Content Group, Naver Corp and Pearson Publishing. Founded to bridge the gap between premium content and generative AI, Cashmere provides infrastructure for publishers to license and deliver authoritative data to AI models. The company already works with publishers including John Wiley & Sons and Harvard Business Publishing, alongside AI companies like Perplexity. The funding follows a pre-seed round in May 2025 backed by the Perplexity Fund and F7 Ventures. Cashmere will use the investment to accelerate product development and expand within academic, professional and market intelligence publishing sectors.
