Requirements
  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related mental health field required.
  • Active licensures as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in counseling, crisis intervention, triage, or workplace wellness.
  • Experience with trauma-informed and employee assistance practices strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Provide confidential, short-term counseling or consultation sessions for employees seeking support for workplace-related or personal concerns.
  • Assess presenting issues and determine appropriate next steps, including referral to Employee Assistance Program (EAP), insurance-based therapy providers, or other community resources.
  • Support HR and organizational leadership in responding to workplace events that may impact staff well-being (e.g., critical incidents, deaths, or traumatic situations).
  • Facilitate debriefing or group support sessions following critical incidents, when requested.
  • Partner with Bancroft’s Crisis Response Team where appropriate, to support workplace incidents and events.
  • Serve as a trusted, neutral mental health resource within the organization, fostering psychological safety and resilience.
  • Document consultations and referrals in a manner consistent with privacy requirements and organizational practices.
  • Consult with HR regarding mental health trends or staff needs observed through aggregate, de-identified data (no individual-level disclosures).
  • Offer educational sessions and workshops focused on stress management, resilience, and mental health awareness.
  • Participate in periodic check-ins or meetings with HR leadership to evaluate program effectiveness and identify opportunities for enhancement.

  • Proficient in maintaining documentation consistent with confidentiality.
