Requirements
  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
  • At least 5 years of experience integrating or testing complex electromechanical or fluid systems.
  • Experience with technical writing, documentation, and planning.
  • Proficiency in computer-aided design and lifecycle management tools.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing needs and requirements.
  • U.S. Person status is required for compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations and Export Administration Regulations, including eligibility to obtain required export authorizations.
Responsibilities
  • Support design review and approval from a Design for Manufacturing and Assembly and Design for Test perspective.
  • Support test plan development with Systems and Design Engineers.
  • Support assembly drawing development with Design Engineers.
  • Write detailed integration procedures and test procedures.
  • Ensure readiness of assembly parts, fasteners, consumables, resources, schedules, supplies, tooling, and tool-calibration verification for integration and test operations.
  • Design ground support equipment, fixtures, assembly aids, and other tooling for integration and test operations.
  • Hold Integration Readiness Reviews and Test Readiness Reviews.
  • Execute integration procedures and test procedures.
  • Operate test facilities such as shaker tables and thermal vacuum chambers.
  • Support off-site operations at third-party testing facilities.
  • Process test data and write test reports.
  • Provide labor and cost estimates for integration and test work.
  • Work with analytical and design engineers to understand test results.
  • Work in an integrated team with technicians, engineers, and leadership across propulsion, thermal, mechanisms, electrical, and structural teams.
Desired Qualifications
  • A Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
  • Experience with instrumentation, control, and data acquisition.
  • Experience with environmental testing such as shock, vibration, thermal vacuum, acoustic, and fluid system testing.
  • Experience in the aircraft, spacecraft, or launch vehicle industries.
  • Experience complying with safety, quality, electrostatic discharge, and foreign object debris practices and standards.
  • Experience working in a cleanroom environment.
  • Experience collaborating on testing with third-party test houses or organizations.
  • Experience with engineered lifting and handling operations.
  • Hands-on mechanical shop skills, including 3D printing and mill and lathe operation.
  • Experience with SolidWorks, Visual Basic for Applications, Python, Arduino, Linux, LabVIEW, Siemens TestLab, and LabJack.
